I bought this radio to exchange a cheap one we had that was terrible at alternative up stations. This one is much best. It gets all our locals very plainly and lots of others. You do have to move it almost a bit to get the AM stations plainly. It's nice that the batteries were built-in since it runs on D batteries which I ordinarily don't have almost. I'm not crazy about the strap, a soubriquet would've been best but it's not a big deal. And I guess I didn't grasp it doesn't have a power cord and only runs on batteries. For us, that's fine even if since I actually only use it when the power is out. By and large, I like it and would urge it.
