I purchased this clock for our mom who is in an assisted income facility and has a difficult time recall what day it is - very frustrating for her. This item was the aptly size and I ideal the blue LED (to red) as it is a modest less money-making looking. Sorry to say the LED is way too bright for a smaller space that includes a bedroom. I purchased window tint stick that I cut to size to cut down the brightness which worked quite well... if not very satisfied and mom loves it.

I purchased this clock for my 86 year old Aunt that has macular degneration and showing signs of dementia. She was having vex seeing her less important clocks...but mainly purchased this clock for all of the information it provides. My aunt was mission broadcast several times a day to ask what day it was, or what month it was. This clock solved several of her problems all at once. We love hearing from her and now it's about more than the day and time!

Clock was good size. Letters and numbers show even when direct sunlight cascade on the face of the clock. True even when you lose power. Might be bright for a tiny room that you need to take a nap in, but we use it in an office and it works very well here.

My first pointer is not more than. I should display that I am impressed with the seller, because after they read my review, they contacted me frankly to apologize for sending an grown-up develop, the deficiencies with which have been corrected in the newer develop (dimmable display and no leading zero on the time display). They replaced the old develop with a new one, and sent the new one before asking me to send the old one in trade. Very accommodating, and impressive service. Nice to know there are still some sellers out there who care about customers getting what they expect. My protect, who is aging and becoming increasingly forgetful, is the envy of the floor in her retirement community for having a timer that tells her the day and appointment. She loves it and thankfulness me for it every time we stay.---------If this was one of the initially digital clocks always made, I would be impressed, save for two foremost flaws I see surrounded by a minute of plugging it in: 1) During the 18 hours of the day as the hour should be a release numeral (1-9), this timer displays a leading zero -- e.g., 09:21 (not 9:21 as publicized in the prodcut photo). Really? I have owned dozens of digital clocks and watches since the '70s, and they had that complicaed algorithm figured out already in trade then. 2) The brightness of the display cannot be adjusted - it is everlastingly fit to the "retina burn" setting. Over again, the concept of a dimmable display is not new, save for aparently not in the $80 per unit budget. Disappointing at preeminent. I am amazed there are not more (surpass) options for clocks that display day and appointment.

Great timer pro the elderly especially including reminiscence issues. When you read reviews from all about this product, you will wonder if they are discussion about uncommon products... and you would be right. Some reviews say you cannot dim the LED lights. You cannot dim the one with the red LED lights, you CAN dim the one with the green or blue LED lights. That is stated in the descriptions of this product. You need to pay attention when you read and then decide to hold. Some reviews also say that there is a chief zero in front of the time. I have the 16 inch green LED product, and I assure you there is no chief 0 in front of any facts ever. As this photo shows, 9:34 in the morning displays as 9:34, NOT 09:34. I do urge the green LED color simply in view of the fact that the green wavelength focuses more by the book into your eye. The red lights and the blue lights do have a affront off focus appearance, not in view of the fact that of any defect with the product, but in view of the fact that those sign are at the extreme end of the color spectrum that our eyes are capable of considering. The eye with its optical aberrations do not focus the red or blue light on to the retina as correctly as does the green which is more accurate to the center of the color spectrum (green/yellow). The LED light IS very bright and I have selected the midpoint brightness setting for my use. This product is exceptional and does everything that they claim. It has a very solid feel and appears to be of very good feature.

I got this manufactured goods for my elderly care for. It worked splendid---for one month when the LED illumination in one area failed. Lacking one column of illumination it could by no means be 10 11 or 12. As a replacement for it was 0, 1 or 2. By the time I traveled back to her disorder to exchange the timer, it was about six weeks from hold and the refund plan had altered. I had to pay to send this defective business back and I had to pay a restocking fee of ten dollars as well. I just expected this timer and was reasonably disappointed with the timer display. The example of the timer shown on Amazon is extremely misleading. The unlit portions of the LED Digits are colorless and do not mix together in hostile to the black background of the timer as depicted in the cinema of the timer shown on the Amazon web site. And when I display colorless, I mean colorless, not clear or gray. These unlit LED lights are extremely distracting and ugly to be truthful next to lit LED green digits that trade show time, time of week and date. It actually cheapens the display. When not plugged in to an outlet, the display shows 4 colorless figure eights where the time is displayed and 3 blocks of colorless dots where the time, month and date is displayed. I purchased this timer for an elderly person with bad eye sight. If she's happy with the timer I'll keep it. If not it's going back.
